Later, visit a local winery to experience a wine degustation — tasting Georgia’s traditional qvevri wines made in ancient clay vessels. Learn about the country’s 8,000-year-old winemaking heritage before returning to Tbilisi in the evening.

This morning, travel to Mtskheta, Georgia’s ancient capital and one of its most spiritual centers. Visit Jvari Monastery, perched high on a hill with views of the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi Rivers, and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back to the 11th century.

Continue to Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town carved into cliffs. Wander through tunnels, caves, and halls that once served as homes and temples thousands of years ago. The site offers a fascinating glimpse into Georgia’s early civilization.
