Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet our representative and proceed towards Shillong, famously known as the Scotland of the East. En route, visit the beautiful Umiam Lake (Barapani Lake), the largest artificial lake in Meghalaya, where you can enjoy boating if time permits. Surrounded by scenic hills and peaceful landscapes, the journey itself is refreshing and memorable. Upon arrival in Shillong, check into the hotel and relax for the evening. After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to the breathtaking Laitlum Canyon, one of Meghalaya’s most scenic hidden gems known for its dramatic cliffs, rolling hills, and panoramic valley views. Surrounded by mist-covered landscapes and untouched nature, the canyon offers a peaceful escape and is perfect for photography, short walks, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. The viewpoint provides stunning views of deep gorges and remote Khasi villages nestled amidst the hills.
Explore Elephant Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most famous waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery and cascading waters. You can also spend time exploring Police Bazaar for shopping, local food, and souvenirs. Return to the hotel in the evening after a relaxed day exploring the charming beauty and culture of Shillong. After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth known for its dramatic landscapes, waterfalls, and misty valleys. On the way, enjoy scenic viewpoints and natural attractions spread across the East Khasi Hills. Cover the popular Bulls Trek area where you can enjoy short walks amidst beautiful valleys and green surroundings.
Continue the journey with stops at nearby viewpoints, waterfalls, and natural attractions depending on time and weather conditions. The drive itself offers breathtaking views of clouds floating across cliffs and deep valleys.
Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Discover the unique Umkar Living Root Bridge surrounded by forests and streams, followed by the fascinating limestone formations inside Mawsmai Caves. Later, visit the majestic Seven Sisters Falls cascading through the cliffs of Cherrapunjee.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and continue exploring the natural wonders of Cherrapunji. Visit the famous Nohkalikai Falls, one of the tallest plunge waterfalls in India, offering spectacular views of cascading waters surrounded by deep green valleys. Later, proceed to the Sacred Forest of Mawphlang, known for its ancient trees, rich biodiversity, and spiritual significance among the Khasi tribes.
Enjoy a peaceful walk through the forest while learning about local traditions and legends associated with the region. After sightseeing, begin your drive back to Shillong through scenic hill roads and valleys. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Mornings after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to visit Kamakhya Temple. After sightseeing we shall escort you to Guwahati Airport. Tour ends with sweet memories
Important Notes for Kamakhya Temple Darshan:
- For Kamakhya Temple, it is recommended to arrive early in the morning to purchase the tickets by yourself, as the temple opens around 03:00 - 05:00 am. This will allow you to secure tickets for Kamakhya Darshan and avoid long queues.
- Pre-purchasing Darshan passes for the Kamakhya Temple is generally not available online or in advance.
- The temple issues these tickets on the day of the visit at the temple itself. Advance booking is typically not permitted.
- Some devotees may be able to arrange for tickets through priests or pandits, but this is not an official system.
