Day-by-Day Breakdown
Upon pickup from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at around 7:00 AM, begin your scenic drive to Samburu National Reserve, located in northern Kenya. The journey takes approximately 6 to 7 hours, passing through Kenya's beautiful countryside, the fertile Central Highlands, the Equator crossing, and offering scenic views of Mount Kenya along the way.
Upon arrival at your lodge or camp around lunchtime, complete the check-in formalities and enjoy a freshly prepared hot lunch. After some relaxation, set out on your first afternoon game drive across the rugged landscapes of Samburu. This unique ecosystem is home to rare northern species such as the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk, along with elephants, lions, leopards, and other wildlife.
After the game drive, return to your lodge by early evening to freshen up and enjoy a delicious dinner. Spend the night at your lodge surrounded by the peaceful wilderness of Samburu.
Note: Samburu eco system consists of 3 national reserves. Samburu National reserve, Buffalo springs National reserve, Shaba National reserve. Entry fees is common for Buffalo springs and Shaba but it is different for Samburu. If your accommodation is in Samburu, your game drives are included in Samburu. If you are accommodation is in Buffalo springs or Shaba, your game drives are included in Buffalo springs + Shaba. In case, your accommodation is in Buffalo springs or Shaba and if you wish to enter Samburu reserve, park fees of USD 80 per adult and USD 45 per child applies.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive after breakfast at around 6:30 AM, the ideal time to witness predators returning from the hunt and animals becoming active in the cool morning hours.
Explore the reserve while searching for the famous Samburu Special Five, elephants, big cats, and a variety of birdlife.
Return to your lodge around 10:30 AM for some leisure time and lunch. In the afternoon, head out again at around 3:00 PM for another exciting game drive, exploring different sections of the reserve until sunset. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start the day with an early morning game drive at around 6:15 AM, enjoying one final opportunity to experience the remarkable wildlife of Samburu before returning to camp for breakfast. After breakfast, check out and drive approximately 2 to 2.5 hours through the scenic landscapes of central Kenya to Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
Arrive around midday, check into your lodge or camp, and enjoy a hot lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive.After the safari, return to your lodge in the evening to relax and enjoy dinner before your overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from your lodge and enjoy a final morning game drive through Ol Pejeta Conservancy with a packed lunch. This provides one last opportunity to spot rhinos, elephants, lions, and other wildlife before beginning your return journey.
Depart for Nairobi in the early afternoon, arriving at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at approximately 4:00 PM, marking the end of your memorable Kenyan safari.
