Safari Sojourn: A 3-Day Journey to Amboseli
What's Included for You
Day-by-Day Breakdown
Your tour starts with pick up at 7:30 AM from your Nairobi hotel or Airport and depart to Amboseli which is about a 4 hour drive from Nairobi. Arrive in Amboseli around noon, check into your lodge/camp, have hot lunch and then depart for an afternoon game drive.
Begin your first game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Keep an eye out for other wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species.
After the game drive, we head back to lodge/camp to reach by around 5:30 or 6:00 PM, freshen up and enjoy a freshly prepared Dinner.
Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar (Full Board)
Your day starts with flexible safari options to suit your preference and pace:
Option 1:
Begin with a relaxed breakfast, then depart around 9:00 AM for a full-day game drive with packed lunch. Spend the day exploring Amboseli’s rich wildlife and scenic views before returning to the lodge around 6:00 PM for dinner and overnight stay.
Option 2:
Head out at 6:00 AM for an early morning game drive—an ideal time to spot active wildlife and possible predator hunts. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some rest, then depart in the afternoon with packed lunch, stop at a picnic spot, and continue game viewing until the park closes. Return by 6:00 PM for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight: Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar (Full Board)
Wake up early and set out on your final morning game drive to make the most of your last wildlife viewing opportunities. Keep an eye out for any animals you may have missed during previous drives. Continue exploring the park until around 9:00 AM, then return to the camp for breakfast.
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, aiming to arrive by approximately 5:00 PM.
